In the first quarter of 2026, China’s export volume of modular integrated housing surged by 45% year-on-year, with total export value nearly tripling over the past decade. Our products are sold to more than 150 countries worldwide. Overseas demand is booming mainly because conventional construction suffers from long lead times, cost overruns and massive construction waste.
Compared with cast-in-place buildings, 90% of the work for modular houses is finished in factories. On-site installation only involves hoisting and assembly, cutting construction time by 55%, construction waste by 90%, and overall costs by 20%-30%. Buyers from Europe, America, Australia and Southeast Asia mainly purchase four product lines: complete construction site camps, multi-story modular offices, expandable scenic homestays and farm residential expandable houses.
Industry institutions forecast that the global modular construction market will exceed 142.8 billion US dollars by 2030. Chinese expandable prefab houses stand out for foldable shipping, doubled indoor space and full factory finishing, witnessing the fastest order growth in overseas farm and rural vacation projects.
